Franki

When I used to work at a place called the Time Out Sports Lounge on Nellis AFB, we would have some strange events happen.  One of these events happened to me.

I was standing in the doorway to my boss's office talking to her about a pizza order for that evening when someone suddenly put their hand on my lower back and the other hand on my left shoulder and started to slightly push me.  I instinctively thought that someone was trying to pass behind me and was saying excuse me please.  So I immediately moved forward towards my boss and out of the way.  Then I felt a breeze of air go by me making me think that person had passed behind me.  But I didn't hear anyone walk or say anything to me so I turned around to see who it was but there was no one there.  I then asked the boss if someone had just walked by me and she said no.  This was very eerie and odd.  I've never had anything touch me before than this and it was very startling to me.  I wasn't sure if I was imagining this or if it had really happened.

Before this incident, I was told by several other employees that something weird was going on in the Time Out.  People would experience ashtrays being thrown to the ground, odd noises when there wasn't anyone in the building and many similiar events.  At one point the activity had made most of the employees uneasy so someone told me that we need to have a small conference with whoever this is that is doing the activity.  I know this sounds crazy and I thought so too at the time but I was up to try anything.  So one day the printer started to work on its own and only one of our printers.  We were ready to open for business and the printer printed out an order but there was no cashier near the register.  So I blurted out "Ok Franki, we know you exist so you don't have to keep proving it to us.  Please stop what your doing your scaring the employees!"  When I said this the activity seemed to totally stop.  I don't know where the name came from but it seemed to work!  For a long time we didn't experience any activity until someone came in making fun of ghosts and didn't believe they exist.  Suddenly the activity started to happen again.

My theory on this is that 'ghosts' are just the living person who has passed on and doesn't need a body to communicate with us.  If they have enough energy or can draw on an external source of energy to manifest then they will.  Especially if they believe they have a reason to come back, i.e. to prove they exist.  Most episodes aren't the work of an evil force like some horror movies suggest but just a passing soul who for some reason has manifested enough so the living can see and feel them.

As for Franki, I believe he used to be attached somehow to the Time Out and enjoys the company of all the young servicemen and servicewomen who used to frequent the bar.  Now the Time Out is gone, the building was bulldozed down and a barracks were erected in its place.  I am curious if any activity has resurfaced in the new barracks that were also occuring at the Time Out.
